OVPN/SSL New Release! Bootstrap Added.

A new version of the OVPN/SSL Client configuration was released by sir Jerome Laliag (For B315s-936 Modem only). There is a noticable change in WEB UI and responsive buttons powered by bootstrap. It has the option to change the Telnet Username and Password too. The default username and password is "admin" like the default login on the modem's web ui. A bit of issue was fixed and corrected before it went to public. Experience the look and feel of this latest release. Credits goes to sir Jerome Laliag.

Note: Incase that you have installed the previous version make sure to make a clean uninstall. Go to the previous version file folder and click uninstall.cmd or you can refer to the previous post to know more about the trend of this update.

Free OpenvpnSSL Config for B315s-936

Many are so happy with the latest release of the Openvpn over SSL, Sir Jerome Laliag the author of the Openvpn Client 2.5 for B315s-936 and B525s-65a has announce a 2nd update of the latest release on these coming days. Though many are so happy, a new problem arises about the new update. Many are struggling about where to get a free account as the latest release were design for a VPS owner. So one cannot have a configuration unless he or she rents a VPS or pays for a paid monthly account. Today I will share to you how to create a free Openvpn/SSL Config. Thanks to 123456 of PHC for these awesome panel. Lets begin.

How to Setup Openvn over SSL Server (B315s-936)

   Like what we had seen, the breakthrough on the Openvpn installation on B315s-936 and B525-65a Modem is really remarkable. It had drawn the attention of many and are so excited for the upcoming development of the said achievement. Like with other technologies nowadays, many vpn enthusiasts expect more than its prototype. Jerome Laliag, the author of the Openvpn Client 2.5 brought it to the next level as part of its developmental phase. Yesterday, marks his release of the Openvpn over Stunnel protocol. Thus making it possible to connect to server using SSL.

Today I will share to you how to setup Openvpn over SSL (Stunnel) Server. This is base on Jerome Laliag's post himself.

How to Use Shadowsocks VPN

   Shadowsocks is an opensource project created and developed in China. This app combines socks5 proxy and stunnel to create a bridge on ISP's firewall and open both TCP and UDP protocol. When it comes to  internet speed, Shadowsocks is twice as fast as most vpn running on port 443. This simple VPN application marks its prominence in the Philippines during our Psiphon days around 2016 to 2017. So powerful that it had bypass Globe Telecom data usage policy. If you want a cheaper or even free internet back then, just go ahead and install shadowsock app available on both android and PC. It only losts its popularity when Globe Telecom company seized the glitch on their system.

Softether Philippines

   Next on our list is the VPN called Softether. Softether is one of the commonly used VPN in the Philippines. Due to its flexibility and strong tunneling mechanism,  Softether can go beyond the limits our internet service providers provide. Softether has reached its peak of popularity in between the months of June and July last year when one of our fellow VPN enthusiasts "Captain Underpants" of PHC disclosed some tweaks on the server itself to bypass data allocations on Globe Telecom subscribers even without any data plan and thus, providing free internet connection. Softhether users had established a group on social media to interact and share even a bit of knowledge in setting up and using the VPN.

Since the last release of the Openvpn Client 2.5 for modem B315s-936, many VPN Enthusiasts in the Philippines and abroad have paid much attention to sir Jerome Laliag, the developer of the Openvpn Client 2.5 for the typical 936 modem. His profile gathered thousands of visits and his inbox has been flooded with huge messages from spectators. All the messages have one thing in common and that is the question, "Whats next?". Today marks the release of the New Openvpn Client for the B525-65a also known as the Black Mamba. On sir Jerome's post on his FB account, he emphasized that his first release of the said openvpn client is almost perfect and has no bugs at all. All the errors on the previous clients has been corrected and considered to this new release.

How to build your own Openvpn, SSH, SSL and Squid Proxy Server

  Building your own SSH,SSL and Openvpn Server is as easy as abc. You don’t need a formal training to learn how to set it up. All we need is a little help from our friend (Google) to get it to work, and a cup of hot coffee to keep us sound and alert. We need a lot of patience too.

   Just like an ordinary poetry, we need to have our pen and paper of course for us to start writing a good poetry. Same goes when building your own server we need the proper tools to start doing the job. Our writing tools in this project are the apps called Putty and Bitvise. Well we just need to choose one. Either of the two will do. (You do not hold 2 pens at the same time to write.) You can have these apps by downloading Putty and Bitvise. These apps are free. Of course we need a paper to write our thoughts into, so we need to get one. In our case, thats where the VPS kicks in. Virtual Private Server or simply VPS is a virtual machine that has its own OS and therefore can be configured for many purposes and being sold as a service by an internet hosting service. The physical machine itself is located in different parts of the world and can be remotely accessed and configured. Each Virtual machine is represented by a unique IP Address on the internet and in that purpose serves as a host server or simply the Host. How can I get my own VPS? The most commonly used in terms of performance at lower cost is Digital Ocean. Depending on the location and specifications you selected, price of monthly rentals varies. Unfortunately, Digital ocean does not have a local server (Philippine Server). If you are looking for a local server, you may want to consider CloudSigma. Like any other internet hosting services, the price depends on the specifications. Sadly a bit expensive compare to other hosting.

Firmware Section

Technically speaking when it comes to modem, firmware is the operating system running on the device. Without the firmware modem is dead and cannot be used at all. Firmware is so important that you would be able to maximize the ability and capacity of your modem to satisfy your internet needs. All firmware has its own uniqueness and strength. Always stay tune as we post firmware that is actually capable of running our newly discovered openvpn (By Jeremoe Laliag).

How to Flash your firmware.

This simple steps will guide you how to change or upgrade your firmware and to maximize its ability according to your preference. Be informed that by doing these steps make sure you fully understand the steps as you may brick or damage your modem. Do the steps at your own risk.

1. Flashing your modem. Please refer to the previous post entitled "How to fix Power light Only" As the steps are exactly the same. Please do the step 1 to step 11 only. You may also refer to "Unlocking" on our menu and look for your corresponding modem.

2. Now download the file B315s-936_Zain_Internet_On_The_Go_Final 2019. (We do not own the file. We give credit to the owner) Run the file and click Start. Now continue the step 12 to step 15.

3. After successful firmware installation your modem is now ready to install openvpn. Here are the list of the openvpn.zip from its first release up to the latest.

How to Create and Unlock HPI Configuration

Hpi is the extension file type of the user saved configuration created inside HTTP injector (PC). Basically a user's own configuration can be saved and shared to other users without exposing the settings such as username, password, Host server, port, squid proxy and most importantly the payload itself. You can load this hpi configuration to your HTTP Injector by importing it. To know more about payload, you can refer to the the previous post. Today I will share to you how to create and lock your configuration so that you can share it to others. And later on I will also give you simple trick on how to sniff or unlock the hidden payload on every hpi configuration. So better stay tune.

How to Create Hpi configuration

Given that you have your own credentials for your HTTP Injector, the SSH and stuff, you need to input your info to its proper place.

1. Generate your payload and input your corresponding proxy and port.

2. Place your Host Server, Port, Username and password under SSH tab.

3. Now head over to main Inject tab and choose Export.

4. You will see additional parameters on the box just put an x mark according to your choice. You may also want to put some notes on the larger box you want your users to see.

5. Hit the little round check button to save and name your hpi config.

6. Save your config anywhere you want.

How to unlock HPI configuration.

Many are asking how to unlock hpi configuration from other users. Basically there are few ways how to unlock it but what I am going to share to you now is the simplest and easiest one. However there is a limitation in this process. We can only retrieve the payload, headers and the host server. Before doing the steps below make sure that you seek permission first from the owner of the config.

File to download: RawCap.exe

1. First is to import the hpi config you want to unlock to your injector.

As you can see on this example, the config is locked by the owner.

2. Now the next step is to run RawCap.exe and a new black screen window will show up. It will give you details on connection present on your NIC card. Select the correct number corresponding to which connection your pc connected into. In my case it's number 7.

3. Aftewards, you need to key in any file name you want your RawCap to generate, you will then edit this later. In my case I renamed it sannyboyunlocked. Now press Enter on your key board. Watch out for the packet counts. Make sure you will start your injector if the count reach atleast 20.

4. Once the the packet count exceeds 100 you may now save the file by pressing CTRL Key + C on your keyboard.

5. Head over to the file folder where the pcap file is saved. It can be found on the same folder where you saved your RawCap.exe. Then highlight the file then right click on it then rename the file and change its' extension to .txt.

6. Now open the file using Notepad then scroll down and look for the info you need.

Now the payload, headers, Host server and port are exposed.

How to Use PSIPHON 3 (PC Version)

Another Popular VPN in the Philippines is Psiphon. Psiphon is a VPN that uses SSH and HTTP Proxy technology. It is opensource and free app developed in Toronto, Canada.
Unlike other VPN services, Psiphon is focused on providing uncensored content and unblocking censored websites in campus, corporation or country rather than increased security.
This VPN has gain much popularity in early 2014 when it surprised millions that it can actually work without any data plan on Globe Telecom. Their popular tag line "Beyond Boarders" was of no doubt so true.
Psiphon like Openvpn runs on multi platform. It can run on Windows both 32 and 64 bit structure. It can also be installed on both Android with atleast 4.0 version and iOS devices with 10.2 or higher.
For Android users, you can head over to Google Playstore to download. For Windows (PC) users you can click here to direct download. For iOS users head over to apps store and download.


How to use Psiphon 

1. Download the latest pPsiphon 3 and save it to your desktop.
2. Open the app and click run.
3. You can play around on the menu to change settings and Language.
4. You have the option to select server location or you can just select fastest server.
5. Just click on Connect button and wait for about 5 seconds and a notification will show up. You can minimize the app to your system tray.

How to Make a Male to Male USB Cable

Fixing your modem and/or updating the firmware is quite hard but is harder without the materials needed to do the job. Without the USB cable it is impossible to update the firmware. We need a male to male type of USB cable. Since this cable is not commonly used, some are having difficulties in finding one. Do you know that you can actually provide one without spending a single penny from your pocket? Do you know that you can build it for yourself from recycled materials on your home? 

Things needed:

1. Cutter

2. Insulating materials (electric tape or heat shrink tubing)

3. 2 pcs broken cellphone charger.

Just refer to image below and you know now what to do.

Instruction:

1. Cut the USB cable and remove the outer insulation until four (4) small wires are exposed. There should be 4 wires according to their colors. Black, red, white and green.

2. Strip down the tip of every small wire until the copper wire are exposed. Do this on both cables.

3. Connect the copper wires of the small wires according to their color.

4. Insulate all exposed copper wires using electrical tape or heat tubing.

5. Your male to male usb cable is now ready to use.

How to Fix Power Light Only, Openline and Install Openvpn (B315s-936)

Theoretically speaking, Modem is a terminal that converts and transmits data from Internet Service Provider down to all devices in a closed network. The most commonly used modem in the Philippines is the Huawei LTE CPE B315s-936. It supports 802.11b/g/n, 2.4GHz Band, 1 sim card slot and USB 2.0 port. You may further search specifications online.

How to Fix Power Light Only

One indication that the modem is bricked is when the only light lit up is the power led. You can not use the modem correctly if this is the case. The firmware is either uninstalled or corrupted. In this case we need to restore the modem's firmware to updated one. Well you can actually play around and try to install customized firmware depending on your preference. Well, restoring the firmware actually resolves all major issues like No 3G or 4G. The only thing unsolvable is when it is a no power at all as it is a hardware issue. You now need to consult your local technician to fix it.

Here is how we do it.

Things needed:

1. Male-Male USB cable (You can buy at local store like cd-r king)

or you can make one for your self please click here to know how.

2. A Laptop or Desktop PC (Preferably running on Windows 7 OS)

3. Screw Driver 

4. Small copper strip (For Shorting/Jumper to go to USB Mode)

5. A cup of Coffee or a pack of Cigarette

1. Install all the necessary drivers. On the ADB Drivers Folder click DriverSetup.exe. Then head over to Huwaei Drivers Folder and click DriverSetup.exe as well. Click on usbfix and add it to the registry.

2. Using screw driver, unscrew the two screws located at the buttom of the modem.

3. Gently pull out and remove the plastic housing of the modem.

4. Remove the Board and locate the two soldered tip to short or jumper.

5. Do Jumper trick, Connect the two soldered tip using a small copper strip make sure it is not touching other metals but the one shown on the image above.

6. Plug in the power adapter to the modem to get it to USB mode. No light should lit up. If there is a light to any led indicators repeat the process otherwise proceed to the next step.

7. Connect the USB cable one end on the modem and the other end to the PC. PC should Detect it. Go to Device manager you will see under PORT LPT, Huawei Mobile Connect is added.

8. Head over to the file folder and run 0.B315s-936 Erase NVRAM press select "3" to start the clearing process. While doing this Android ADB interface appears on Device manager. Just wait until the process is done.

9. Unplug USB cable and the power cable.

10. Once more do the jumper trick see to it that no led light is lit up when you plug the power adaptor, then connect the USB.

11. Run  1.Balong_USB_Loader_1.0.1.10 and let it do its job until you get into this screen. 

12. Run B315s-22_Update_21.321.03.00.00_M_AT_04.10 and click start.

Wait about 2 to 3 min until its done and you see the page that says update successful.

13. Wait until a single light is lit up.

14. Unplug USB and power cable then plug back.

15. Head over to http://192.168.8.1 (Default user and pass: admin)and configure your modem.

How to openline your Modem

Given that you are successful in doing the steps, you are now ready to have your modem openline. Doing the job is as simple as abc.

Download the file: B315s-936 1-Click Openline Unlocker 

Just run the file and a black screen will show up and it will try to connect to your modem. Once done, modem will reboot.

You may now inset your sim card of any network. If your Modem has its stock firwmare you need to debrand it first before running the unlocker.

How to Create Free OpenVPN cofig for Modem B315s-936

  The breakthrough on the possibility of openvpn installation on our B315s-936 modem really took a giant leap on the course of our vpn history. Everything on the vpn world has changed. This change has brought happiness and excitement to many but a great downfall to some whose job is to develop and sell android and PC app. Thanks to sir Jerome Laliag, the author of the openvpn web interface client 2.5 for B315s-936 modem. All credits goes to him. For us to fully benefit with this great discovery, let us take it to the fullest. I will share to you how to have a free openvpn config to upload into your modem. Enough of those sweet words, lets go straight to the point. So lets begin.

If you haven't installed openvpn yet on your modem please click here to set it up.

1. Head over to vpnsplit.

2. Click on Create VPN tab and select create account.
3. Login your google account.
3. Under select server just choose any server you want on the drop down.
5. Click create account.
6. Copy your username, password and the server then save it else where.
7. Click on the download config.
8. Extract the file into your desktop.
9. Open the folder and look for the server where you registered earlier (TCP)
10. Edit the .ovpn file using notepad.. (example: server5-VPNSplit.com-10Gbit-TCP 1194)

11. Put ":" in between remote server and port and add "@" then payload. Example
remote 103.200.209.250:1194@m.weixin.qq.com

12. Change the proxy and copy your remote server.

13. You can delete everything inside just preserving the remote IP and Squid proxy and copy the codes below and save.
