Modem is really essential in our vpn, so we really cannot avoid dealing with it. There are tons of modems available in the market today that we can actually use as a medium for our vpn, however, we will only discuss few. Lets know more about it and lets get it unlocked.

1. Workstation (PC or Laptop running Windows 7 preferably)
2. Screw driver
3. Copper/Metal Strip
4. Male-to-male USB 2.0 cable
Procedure:
1. Download all necessary tools and drivers here.
2. Install ADB Drivers.exe and HUAWEI_drivers.exe
2. Remove the two securing screw located at the butom of the modem.
3. Remove the front cover to access the panel board.
4. Refer to the image below. Short the boot pins indicated below (red dots) using copper or metal strip. Connect the power cord, there should be no lead lights lit up.
5. Now connect the usb cable to the back of the modem and the other end to your workstation.
6. Open device manager, a port should be added.
7. Run B525s-65a_Balong_USB_Loader_1.0.1.10
8. Once done, Run B525s-65a_11.190.61.00.372_Huawei_RELOADED_v2_2019. Wait until the process is done.
9. Remove power cable and USB cable.
10. Power on the modem and connect your workstation via Lan or Wifi.
11. Run B525s-65a Openline.exe
12. Open browser and access the WebUI dashboard by going to http://192.168.8.1 Default username: admin Password: admin
13. Change admin password or wifi password depending on your preference.
